Introducing Garden2Office

With extensive experience in Swedish building methods, Garden2Office crafts contemporary garden offices that balance form and function. Their portfolio includes compact work pods, spacious business suites, and extra large multi-room layouts designed for specific client needs.

Each building is constructed using a proven insulated timber panel system, delivering a multi-layer wall build-up for year-round comfort. Personalisation extends across sizes, layouts, finishes, and additional features, allowing clients to create a workspace that aligns with both style and function.

Clients can choose a full turnkey build, where everything from foundations to final electrical connections is handled, or opt for a self-build kit for a hands-on approach using the same high-performance system.

Design

Four core ranges form the starting point, each customisable in size, layout, and finishes. Exterior options include durable timbers, composite cladding in a variety of colours and profiles, and corrugated metal for a contemporary or industrial look. Interior finishes range from crisp plastered and decorated rooms to plywood-lined spaces or natural matchboard for a Scandi-inspired style. Additional soundproofing layers can be incorporated for quiet work environments.

Size & Layouts

Available in small, medium, large, and extra large footprints, each range can be configured to suit its setting. Layouts are tailored with flexible door and window placement, partition walls, and optional extra rooms such as storage areas or cloakrooms. Both mains-connected and modern waterless toilet options are available.

ROOFLINES

The Friggebod, SportsKabin, and Kapsel ranges feature mono-pitched rooflines under 2.5m for Permitted Development projects, while the Malmö range offers a dual-pitched roof with standing seam metal roofing and a vaulted interior. Bespoke rooflines, including asymmetrical designs, are also available.

APPROVAL PROCESS

Mono-pitched and pitched roof designs are planned for Permitted Development compliance. For projects requiring full planning approval, Garden2Office handles the application process. The team also has experience delivering building regulation-compliant specifications and securing Building Control sign-off when required.

SERVICE

A full turnkey approach covers foundations, building installation, and final electrical connections, leaving clients with a ready-to-use office. Self-build kits are also available for those wishing to assemble their own workspace.

STRUCTURE

Buildings use a Swedish insulated timber panel system with a multi-layer build-up, incorporating plywood sheathing inside and out for strength. Roofing options include EPDM and standing seam metal. Heating choices range from underfloor heating to air conditioning, with LED lighting and Ethernet cabling offered as standard.

SITE CHALLENGES

Garden2Office’s flexible design approach suits a wide range of gardens, including sloping or irregular plots. The modular nature of their construction allows sections to be carried through narrow access points, ensuring installation is possible even where space is limited. Dimensions, layouts, and foundation systems can all be adjusted to ensure stability and seamless integration with existing landscaping.
