Introducing Bridge Garden Rooms
Bridge Garden Rooms is known for offering one of the widest selections of garden studio designs available, ranging from compact pods to large multi-room layouts. While many designs include popular features as standard, each serves as the starting point for a personalised configuration. Clients can work with the team to adapt the size, layout, and features to create a studio that suits both their garden and their creative working style.
Their portfolio highlights flexibility: makers and artists can choose from smaller pods ideal for painting or textiles, while larger studios can incorporate features such as wrap-around glazing, integrated decks, or sheltered outdoor areas. Some designs include desk-height panoramic windows, framing views of the garden and flooding the space with natural light.
At the core of each building is a Structural Insulated Panel (SIP) system, creating a strong, durable, and highly insulated structure. Combined with double-glazed doors and windows, cladding, and interior finishes, this multi-layer construction ensures year-round comfort, keeping both materials and finished work in good condition.

ROOFLINES
Bridge Garden Rooms offers several roofline choices. Mono-pitched designs under 2.5m are suitable for Permitted Development projects, while taller mono-pitched studios can be created when greater internal headroom is required for large canvases, equipment, or lighting. Dual-pitched designs are also available, creating vaulted ceilings that bring extra volume and light into the space.
APPROVAL PROCESS
Studios are designed to comply with Permitted Development rules wherever possible. If planning approval is required, Bridge Garden Rooms provides detailed drawings and specifications to support the application. They are also experienced in delivering projects that need Building Regulation approval, ensuring compliance and smooth sign-off.
SERVICE
Bridge Garden Rooms manages the process from start to finish. This includes installing the foundation system, constructing the insulated SIPs structure, and completing the main build with interior finishes. A full electrical package is included, with recessed LED downlights, sockets, and a consumer unit. Exterior lighting is often added to extend usability and highlight the garden setting. For the final connection to the house supply, clients can appoint their own electrician or request a quotation from the Bridge team.
STRUCTURE
The core build system uses SIPs, combining strength and insulation to create a stable environment for year-round use. House-quality double-glazed doors and windows maximise natural light while retaining warmth. Interiors are finished with recessed lighting and plastered walls and ceilings, creating a comfortable, ready-to-use studio.
Externally, clients can choose from Western Red Cedar, composite cladding, or render finishes. Each option balances durability with aesthetics, ensuring the studio complements both the home and garden.
SITE CHALLENGES
Bridge Garden Rooms has experience working on sloping or irregular plots, using ground screw foundations to establish a level base. Decks and steps can be integrated where needed, making access easy and providing seamless flow between the garden and studio.
